Author's Note: A final fic for
tw100's "challenge #264: Holiday Food". Specifically the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Implied past Jack Harkness/Angelo Colasanto, and Jack being friendly with a non-human species
December, 1959
The family cook did their shopping, but Angelo insisted on buying ingredients for the Feast of the Seven Fishes: he'd done this every year, since his boyhood, and this year, with his cousins visiting, he needed to escape the madhouse.
While perusing the calamari in the market, a tall shadow came up beside him.
"Well, you're a delightful specimen," a cocky voice remarked.
Angelo looked up to confront the interloper, finding Jack Harkness's grinning face looking down into his.
"You..." he said, speechless with surprise.
"I was referring to the squid, but it fits you, too."
