Some of the fic was inspired by some of the promo/teaser shots and clips I'd seen: the pics of Mike Emerson being filmed in a casino made me wonder if Root was going to run for the Canadian border with a detour through New England, and the Machine might spot them in Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun (I live in New England, so the idea of a mad chase through the North East came to mind).
