Author's Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic's Twilight, any vampire, vampire-skin merchandise is now all the rage. Featuring Alice: it's a dark sort of crack, featuring a surprise crossover cameo at the very end.

It was the kind of thing that had Carlisle warning the rest of the family to wear cover-up makeup on sunny days and Alice knew exactly why they had to resort to that measure.

The new fall trend was glitz and sparkle, and it didn't surprise her where some of the material came from.

Even still when she walked into her friend Ruggiero's studio with her current portfolio, she felt her stomach drop into her boots as she found him and his workers gathered about the table.

"You sure sound like a sympathizer," Rod said, eying her suspiciously.

"Come now, this is a place for art, not politicizing," Ruggiero cut in, coming to Alice's rescue. She breathed easier, but she did not feel at ease. That could be one of her family on that table and at that moment, an image ticked in her head: Bella being held down by three blue-collar type hunters, as they peeled her skin off with hunting knives...
