Author's Note: Written for < lj user="fuda_100">'s "voices". Featuring Muraki dealing with his inner darkness.
Since that fateful night when he lost his right eye, a voice whispers in Muraki's mind, hinting that he no longer needs to fear the darkness, for he is the darkness; that he need no longer fear death, for he can deliver it; that those who would destroy him and what he valued should do so at their peril, for the one they would harm can rain down a greater harm on them. At first, he flinched from this voice, but he soon lost his fear of its whispering.
He wonders if it has always lurked there, waiting to speak.
