"Never go near that boy again," Takashi snapped, hauling Asato through the gate of their house.
"But we're friends, Aoki and I," Asato yelped, stumbling as his father hauled him onto the porch.
"You kissed the boy: and you're both male," Takashi snapped, looking up at his son.
"He didn't like it, so it won't happen again," Asato spluttered. "You don't have to yell at me, he already did!"
"That's a weight off my mind," Takashi said, breathing easier.
"If it helps, there's a cute girl in the village whom I like," Asato said, hopefully. "If she'd like me back..."
